Also can't do TOO much walking as Becs is now 1.5 people. Not party people, not really into AI places, and we're happy to drive ourselves. PS - we're going for a relaxing break with some snorkeling and some nice food. Thanks again - hopefully we'll get this holiday booked soon! It's also more expensive than the other two.Īlso, we're wondering about doing a 2-site holiday (9 nights) - 5-6 nts self-catering in one of these, and 3nts somewhere else (up to Hilton prices, MAYBE - preferably a little less) right on a (decent snorkeling) beach with a little more luxury. But it's getting very mediocre reviews, albeit largely for food/entertainment, and the questionable refurb. Discovery Bay would give us our on-the-beach that we wanted, and is right in Holetown. All Seasons has a decent location (a little behind the Almond Beach Club, walking distance from Holetown and Paynes Bay. Sugar Cane seems lovely (one of Becs' colleagues has been and raved about it), but location isn't great - a drive to everywhere, and the shuttle buses don't go to the good snorkelling beaches. Well, with our original choices for an 'affordable' late-notice break to Barbados being booked up, these three are now on the short-list:.
